Sunset Yoga

Sunday:

All Levels Yoga @ Shakti Studio
10 a.m. to 11:30
This is an energizing weekend class for students of all levels. Some familiarity with the basic poses is suggested. I teach this class on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month while other teachers from Shakti Studio teach the 1st and 3rd.

Monday:

Intermediate Yoga @ Shakti Studio
9:30 a.m. to 10:45
This is a class for the yoga student who is ready to deepen his or her practice both physically and mentally. I’ll introduce longer holds and more challenging poses than in the beginner class, and we’ll explore some basic breathing and meditation techniques. If you’ve gained confidence in the basic and beginner poses and are ready to experience moving meditation, this is the class for you.

Chair Yoga @ Annapolis Wellness House
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
This is a gentle yoga class intended for patients and families dealing with cancer. The Wellness House provides many free services, which you can learn about on their website. I alternate teaching this class with another teacher.

Community Beginner Vinyasa @ Shakti Studio
6:15 to 7:30 p.m.
The community beginner vinyasa class is a gentle practice incorporating the basics of vinyasa flow with restorative poses and relaxation exercises. This class is appropriate for all levels.

Tuesday:

Beginner Yoga @ Shakti Studio
3:30 p.m. to 4:45
This is a great introductory class for anyone who is curious about trying yoga. You will learn the basic poses of yoga, concepts of alignment, and simple breathing and meditation techniques. This class can be modified to suit individuals working with injury or illness.

Thursday:

Morning Yoga @ Shakti Studio
8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Start your morning with an energizing and centering practice designed to help you move through your day with that extra glow you get from a good workout and a meditative calm. It’s a flow-based class, so be prepared to move and maybe even dance as you bring mind, body and breath into joyful union.
